What is birth chart compatibility?

It compares two full birth charts, not only Sun signs. Astrologers call it synastry. It looks at how one person’s planets touch the other’s: whose Venus meets whose Mars, whether your Moons understand each other, and where each of you lands in the other’s life.

Do we both need birth times?

No. Without times you still get every planet and the main connections. Times add the rising signs and house overlays, which show where each person lands in the other’s life, like romance, home, or commitment.

Is this better than zodiac sign compatibility?

It is more personal. Two people with a “bad” Sun sign match can have a beautiful Venus and Moon connection, and the reverse. Sun sign pages give the quick view; this gives yours.
